CRACKED EP. 61 Glass, Ghosts and Lisa Frank with Andrea Guzzetta

It's the final episode of Season 5 and today, I’m thrilled to welcome Andrea Guzzetta, a multifaceted artist from Los Angeles known for her stunning oil paintings and her intricate glass painting work she’s done for many stained glass artists and studios that you know and love.

Andrea’s personal work has been described as “if Lisa Frank forgot to take her Xanax” and blends the traditional techniques of classical painting with a pastel aesthetic. She uses her bold cheery palette to quote “explore themes of intimacy, vulnerability, and the hidden magic of small moments.”

I feel like Andrea and I really hit it off like old pals, and our chat took a delightful detour with, you know, lighthearted topics, like death, our beliefs about what happens when you die, using art to process fear, accepting mortality, and even ghost sightings. But don’t worry—we do get to glass, and when we do, this episode is packed with valuable insights. We cover everything from navigating Patreon and boosting Instagram engagement to choosing the right respirator for your studio and getting your work into that dream gallery you’ve been dying to show at.

Join me as I crack it all wide open!

To see more of Andrea’s work her instagram is @andreaguzzetta and mine is @runaglassworks.  For all the Patreon members Andrea made an exclusive glass pattern. I love that this pattern isn't too complicated, it’s only got 8 pieces so it's perfect if you're at the beginning of your glass journey OR if you just want to bang out a smaller piece in between your larger projects. If you make it please please send pics to Andrea and I!!!
